The Fierce Urgency of Now- VOTE!
Is this really America? I'm 27 years old, and I've never seen so much hate, vitriol, and outright racism in my entire life. Yes, the year is two thousand and eighteen; and yes black and brown people in American are still subject to: unfair sentencing, racial profiling, and death in the hands of law enforcement. It's hurtful and shameful. Is this the new normal? Or is it even new at all? Maybe it’s the fact that social media and smart phones are now capturing, what would normally only be known to a few. So many of you, like myself are sick and tired; and wondering if America will ever recover from this painful chapter in our history. We realize that we are so much better than this. And in realizing that, we understand that we are in a fight to protect our freedom and values. It's imperative that we understand the concept of freedom.
